Reindeer Run 5k
What is Reindeer Run?
The FNL Reindeer Run is a 5k fun run to raise awareness of and prevent substance abuse and promote wellness and healthy lifestyles among youth and families throughout San Luis Obispo County. Reindeer Run is a community event that brings together people of all ages and abilities to participate in a unique and memorable experience. The 5k route begins at Mitchell Park in San Luis Obispo and follows the Railroad Trail to Orcutt Road, returning to Mitchell Park via Broad and Santa Barbara Streets. The majority of the course is on the trail or sidewalks, and will have volunteers cheering participants on along the way.
Participants, volunteers, and spectators are encouraged to dress in their favorite holiday attire, and kick off the holiday season with a pancake breakfast with Santa.

This year there will be a pancake breakfast with Santa after the race. We would greatly appreciate donations of pancake supplies, hot chocolate, fruit, and energy/protein bars.
Dasher $75: Logo displayed on event signage, posters, and featured during event announcements.
Blitzen $150: Logo displayed on event signage, posters, SLO FNL Facebook page and website, and featured during event announcements.
Rudolph $300: Logo displayed on event signage, posters, SLO FNL Facebook page and website, and featured during event announcements.
Anyone is welcome to register online now for the Reindeer Run 5k through Active Network (click the button below). Online registration will be available through Friday, December 6, 2019. Day of registration will be available - please note the registration fees increase by $5 for day of registration!
The online registration fee is $25 per person. Students with a school ID qualify for a $5 discount on registration! Registration fees for youth under 12 are $10, and children in strollers are free. This year's Reindeer Run also will have options for Family and Team Registration.
All paid registrations receive a commemorative FNL Reindeer Run T-shirt, and a ticket for Santa's pancake breakfast following the run.
Additional pancake breakfast tickets for spectators can be purchased for $5 each during online registration (in "add-on purchases") or the morning of the event.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6 AT 9pm. DAY OF REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN AT 8am ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 AT MITCHELL PARK - SEE YOU THERE!
Not a runner (or walker)? Need community service hours? Be a volunteer! The Reindeer Run needs volunteers throughout the event to help with food, course monitoring/cheering, safety, and more.

There is no event parking at Mitchell Park; participants and spectators are encouraged to utilize the Marsh Street Parking Structure.
